Two Reversible Mini Floating Shelves for Your Favourite Books

This set of two TEEbooks mini floating shelves offers two ways to display books using the same compact design. Each shelf can be mounted to support a horizontal pile of books or reversed to display suitably sized books upright, with their covers facing forwards.

Measuring just 12 × 12 cm, these are the smallest shelves in the TEEbooks range. Their reversible design makes them particularly useful when you want to display a few favourite titles without installing a conventional bookcase.

Stack Paperbacks Horizontally or Display Book Covers Upright

In the horizontal stacking position, each mini shelf supports a pile of books from underneath. It can accommodate approximately 15 paperbacks or 7–8 larger paperback novels per shelf, depending on the size and weight of the books.

For a different presentation, reverse the mounting orientation to create a small ledge with a raised front edge. This allows suitably sized books to stand upright with their covers facing into the room, making a favourite title part of your wall decoration.

The two independent shelves can be used in the same orientation or differently: one for a floating pile and the other for a forward-facing book display.

A Concealed White Steel Support That Makes Books Appear to Float

Made from FE DC01 steel with a white epoxy finish, these mini floating shelves have a discreet structure designed to let the books take centre stage.

When used for horizontal stacks, the support is largely hidden beneath the books, creating the impression that the pile is floating against the wall. In the upright position, the raised edge helps keep suitable books in place while remaining visually understated.

The white finish blends particularly well with light-coloured walls, allowing the colours of book covers and spines to provide the main decorative detail.

Create a Floating Book Wall with Two Independent Shelves

Because the shelves are separate, you can install them side by side, at different heights or in a staggered arrangement. Several sets can also be combined to create a staircase of floating book piles across a wall.

The recommended load is up to 7 kg per shelf on a solid wall with suitable fixings. The supplied screws and wall plugs are intended for solid walls. For installation on plasterboard, use fixings compatible with the type of board and appropriate for the intended load. In this case, we recommend keeping the load lighter than on a solid wall.
