Bookshelves

A bookshelf should carry your collection without competing with it. Every Teebooks bookshelf is folded from a single sheet of Italian steel and fitted with an invisible bracket, so the support disappears behind the spines and the books seem to float against the wall. No bulky frame, no visible fixings, just the reading on show. It is a wall mounted design that keeps the floor clear and lets a full library breathe, even in a small room.

Why choose a Teebooks bookshelf

• A wall mounted format that frees the floor and keeps a compact space feeling open.
• High-grade steel that holds a dense run of books without bowing, the kind of strong wall shelves for books a heavy library needs.
• An invisible bracket on every model, for the floating-books effect that defines the range.
• Eight powder-coated colours, from white and grey to rust and black, to sit with any interior.
• Two screws and a spirit level are all the fitting takes.

How the wall mounted bookshelves work

The bracket sits inside the shelf and screws flat to the wall, hidden the moment the first books go in. A single 60 x 15 cm wall bookshelf carries a row of paperbacks or a lighter run of hardbacks, and shelves stack one above another to build a full wall of storage. Because the fixing stays out of sight, the result reads as a clean line of books rather than a piece of furniture. The same principle runs through our invisible bookshelves and floating shelves.

Choosing the right size and set

Shelves come in 45 cm and 60 cm widths, sold as single units or in ready-made sets. A single shelf suits a short run over a desk or a bed. The 60 x 15 cm set of 4 and the set of 6 stack into a taller composition for a living room or hallway, while the set of 2 is an easy first step. For a corner or a narrow gap, a vertical bookcase stands the books in a column and barely touches the wall. For a taller structure with fixed uprights, see the bookcases and wall bookcase ranges.

Colours and finishes

Each shelf is powder-coated in one of eight shades, so the metal can vanish against a pale wall or hold its own in a darker scheme. Match the finish to the room with the black shelves, grey shelves or rust shelves, all in the same durable metal shelves construction. Fitting out a child's room instead? The kids bookshelves use the same brackets at a lower height.

Good to know before you order

A 60 cm shelf holds a substantial row of books once the two screws are set into a solid fixing, with wall plugs chosen to suit plasterboard or brick. With more than 17 years spent on wall mounted shelving, we ship across the UK in 3 to 4 days, flat-packed with the bracket and fixings included.
